Wednesday

So I am finally getting to this post for the 4th! We had SO MUCH FUN!! One of my newest friends, Rachel, came up from La Grande to play at the cabin again ( where we had our retreat a week and a half ago) It was our 3 families , Rachel's, Shauna's and mine.Thank You Rachel!!! We all love you!! There were plenty of kids to play with and my Dad brought out the jet skis and Rachel's Aunt and Uncle ,who's cabin it is, had a paddle boat, kayaks and much more! It was hot and just a perfect day to celebrate our country and be with family and friends to enjoy the food, water and fireworks!

Jarrin and Keeley took a ride in the Kayak a few times and Keeley loved it.
All the kids that wanted to go jet skiing got to take turns on them with the adults and all of us adults had a ton of fun too!!

Keeley liked the Kayak but Jarrin LOVED them! I think he is expecting one under the Christmas tree he liked it so much! He was on that more than anything else. Brad showed him 1 time how to do it and he was gone all over that side of the lake!Sawyer loved being in the water also! In fact he'd get so darn mad if you took him out! Keeley and Jarrin loved to take turns pushing him around in his star fish floaty:)

He's such a water baby! I guess it makes sense since he was born in water!! Love the look on his face, so cute and yummy. All of the kids loved to pile onto the paddle boat, it was great fun.
Brad and I took turns keeping watch on Sawyer. He isn't afraid of anything! He loved to walk on the dock and go to the stairs on the dock to get in and out of the water and he would hold on and try to climb down into the water! He also wanted to just walk into the water right off the dock. Needless to say we basically had to keep one hand on him at all times!
Sawyer and I got to jet ski! (Yes I cropped the picture, I look yuk for crying out loud!)I thought he'd be afraid a tad....but no, not even a little bit! He just looked from side to side and smiled until he found the safety whistle and then we were skiing around while everyone heard "tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet" It was so cute and fun! In fact he liked it so much that after we got off he walked over to the jets skis and tried to walk off of the dock onto one. We held him back and he screeched so hard and loud :) He was mad we wouldn't take him again! Poor thing. We would have but it was starting to get dark and we had to get going!
We barely made it to the fireworks! We got there just in time to see the first one go off while we were pulling up to the firework viewing point! Sawyer saw them and kept pointing saying "yook...dat" Oooo. Needless to say he thought it was really cool to see all the colors exploding in the sky!

The next day we went over to the Zaugg's to watch the last bit of firework they had and light off a few we had left. Sawyer was fascinated with the sprinkler that was on at the Zauggs! He didn't have a care in the world when he saw this. He just wanted to be in it !

This was the line of clouds coming our way followed by a nice thunder and lightning storm. It was such a beautiful interesting thing to see such a straight line of clouds with the sun shining out from under it! This is why I love to be outdoors! You just never know when you'll ever see something like this again!
Starting the smoke bombs was a thrill for all the kids involved, it was easy to get a picture with most all of the kids because they wanted to stand right in all the smoke :)

It was such a fun day and we have so many more great memories now!!I'm glad evertone else had such a great day also!!
