Keeley and Chopsticks

So we had some of our favorite Vietnamese soup the other night and Brad and I always use chopsticks, so Keeley decided she wanted to try them and at first we said no because she would make a mess (which she usually does), but after thinking for a few seconds I thought "if we keep telling her no, she'll never learn" so I got up and handed her some chopsticks! It was so cute and funny at first just watching her try!! It was a two handed stick shovel into the mouth! So cute!


So Brad and I took a few seconds to show her how to hold them and how to pinch the food and eat with them. Because it was too hard for her(so she says)She told us" It's ok .I will do it my own way and it will be just fine cuz I can do it which ever way I want to huh Mommy?" SO we said whatever works for you :)

Then she surprised us both. We saw her pinching in her bowl and she actually got a piece of chicken and ate it!! Brad and I were so excited!!! She was doing great after that!! It was only the 5th ot 6th bite when she got the hang of it!! GO KEELEY!!
