Blueberries!!

We now have a new tradition of picking blueberries every year at Riley Creek Farms 9which started 3 years ago). We went on Monday and even Brad came!! He's not much into berry picking though, but he did like picking blueberries because they were so easy to pick( not like huckleberries). It went well even though Sawyer didn't want to just hang out in his stroller for long. We took turns picking and even Jarrin and Keeley picked! They did great, though they still ate more than what landed in the bucket! We got 25 lbs of blueberries in just 3 hours of picking!! It was great. I like to get my 1 year supply and freeze them! It's nice to have a blueberry crisp or pancakes through the winter and in early Spring!

This is what it looked like after all the berries were washed and laid out to dry before freezing. The other towel full is on the counter.

I never liked blueberries that much until I could pick them fresh. It's like nothing I could ever get in the store, and they freeze perfectly and when the defrost they aren't squishy and gross like berries can get!! I'm bummed that Naomi and Carisa couldn't be here to join in the fun, :( maybe another year!! :)
