The Lake House

At the Lake House visiting our friends who came up from Oregon for the week. The kids decided to try out the zip line. Man that thing is SO MUCH FUN! None of my kids would get on at first unless they went with someone else.

Keeley round 1~ She went with Erin and was scared when they jumped off but soon felt the thrill and rush of flying through the air. She was SOLD! Everyone was taking turns and having a blast!

Love look on his face!
Oh yeah...even Mom got a ride! I managed to (very carefully) get Sawyer and I to the top of the ramp and then take him for a ride. He is our little dare devil. He wasn't so sure but then as we went he was laughing and smiling.
Keeley went quite a few rounds with others but also managed to (by accident) go by herself when Erin slipped off onto the ramp which left Keeley flying solo!

Jarrin absolutely REFUSED to go the first 2 days we were there. Then on the 3rd night he decided to try it ONLY if someone would go with him. Well good ol' Parker came to the rescue and took him. He was freaked out (as you can see) but he got off and went another 3 times and then came to tell me(who convinced him it was going to be so much fun once you get over the fear of dropping off the edge into the air) that he had SO MUCH FUN and was bummed he didn't try it sooner.

We also go to go fishing off the dock one of the days. It started out just Jarrin and I with some fishing poles and some worms and he started catching fish like crazy. Then Rachel called the other boys to come back to the dock with worms and join us. It was a blast. Rachel got a kick out of my freshly painted  French manicured nails ripping worms in pieces to fish with. :D What can I say..I love to get dirty while looking nice :D
Keeley and Brinley were having their own fun taking turns putting the net into the water and seeing what came out.
Sawyer was up to no good and some good. he couldn't decide what to get into first.
Sawyer found the tackle boxes....Yeah that was fun!
In that tackle box, he found the pliers for pulling the hooks out of the fishes mouth. He then looked around to see what he could do with them.
Keeley found some lake weed, which you can see kind of grossed her out :)
The beach next to the dock was another fun playing spot. Digging in sand and building things with sticks, rocks and sand.
Shauna and the family also joined us later that day. She had some prep work before they could go fishing. We spent some time untangling fishing line.
Keeley got into a Kayak as soon as she could and went paddling around the dock.
When she got tired she just hitched a ride! hehe
Derek and Jarrin both yelled that they caught a fish and when they reeled up I thought their lines were just tangled. Then out came a fish!  Well the were tangles but then I looked closer and  I noticed that both Derek and Jarrin's hooks were in the fish's mouth!
They literally caught the same fish!! How often does that EVER happen?!
It was a fun week and weekend and we also got to have our family pictures done from my friend Rachel! I can't wait to get them back!! We also had a BIG Birthday dinner at Olive Garden for the 6 (i think) Birthdays in our group of friends that were all up from Oregon and WA and then us locals. What a fun group to hang around! Can't wait to see them all again!
